Pregnancy

Pregnancy is a significant moment in one’s life. Though it is a joyful and cherishable moment, it can also be overwhelming and stressful. The female body and mind undergo many changes during this period and after leading to a high level of stress for the individual. At Yoga Samvidaa, we help the mothers prepare mentally and physically for childbirth and the period after (post natal). We provide curated practice based on the phase of the pregnancy and underlying conditions.

Our practice focuses on strengthening the uterus and the spine and pelvic opening exercises for childbirth. We avoid any form of abdominal contractions during our yoga practices. Our practice also involves strengthening the arm muscles to care and nurse the baby after birth. We have incorporated Vedic chants and have used sounds during meditation and pranayama to reduce stress, increase positivity and enhance bonding with the child.
